How do you move a Tiny House?
Too often owners decide to try and move their tiny homes themselves. If you're a tiny house fan, you'll have seen the tragic tales where owners have not planned their tiny house move well, and either tried to do it themselves, or not taken into account lots of different factors.
Secure it before you move it
When getting ready to move a tiny house, secure anything that moves. You don't want things flopping and rolling around while the house is moving or you could end up with damage to your belongings and your home.
Use straps to secure appliances like your stove, refrigerator, and laundry machine. These things can do a ton of damage if they shake loose.
Pay special attention to your cabinet doors also. Some doors have magnetic or click closures built-in, so they stay closed during transport. If your cabinets are not secured, look at getting child locks to put over the handles, or try using zip ties or duct tape to keep all the doors shut. Be cautious of your cabinet paintwork, as the wrong type of tape might cause unwanted damage.
Box up as much of your smaller belongings as you can. Tiny House Transport can move your contents as well as your tiny home at the same time with a moving container we include on our truck.

In addition to weighing more than your average car can pull, tiny houses are typically an oversized load as well. If you're not experienced with towing larger vehicles, then moving your tiny house yourself is certainly not a great idea.
